an extremely epic show. the brutal honesty with which thor does things when he's mortal, and the director's idea of how things should go is just epic. *spoiler from this asterisk* - first was when he kena langah by jane's car just when he got banished by odin. second was when he said "this drink is awesome, i want another one", and smashed the cup onto the floor. third was when he went into a pets shop and said "i want a horse". fourth was when he and the guardian of odin's treasure were walking towards each other - it was a dead serious scene (a showdown), but the music playing was a gentle, romantic theme. and not to mention the giant guardian was walking so gently. plus thor's boyband image. gosh, could just imagine westlife's my love playing. hahaha. was laughing throughout the show, but sad to say not many singaporeans got the jokes in the show. only my group and the angmohs next to us was laughing at some points in time. dry, dry singaporeans.

elections draw near, and even though my general-elections-hymen won't be broken this elections, it seems exciting enough for me to follow. honestly, what i think singapore needs now, is an exceptionally bright group of fresh-graduates with extremely good academics headed by a slightly more senior (perhaps 30+ year old man) leader to get into politics. it's gonna be just like the 50s when lky was young. because honestly, in my honest opinion, the elections (esp for potong pasir) has come to a point where the population just doesnt wish to vote for anyone. the opposition has no substance, and the pap is not exactly doing their job on an on-the-ground level anymore.

take potong pasir for instance, our choices are lina chiam: some elderly political newb whose expertise and credentials in politics come from accompanying her husband (spp chief chiam see tong), and sitoh yih pin: some 30 over year old guy who hasn't been mp anywhere before, and whom residents accuse of abandoning potong pasir after he lost the last elections (he, his posters and all his events he usually hed mysteriously dissapeared for about 4 years). so honestly, who the fuck do we vote for? both also cmi. wth man. lucky im not voting. i'll just vote for both and write in fine-print below: i don't believe either should be in parliament.

come to think of it, if i can meet the right people in university, and i can form a group of elite, multi-lingual people, i might actually go into politics. being prime minister doesn't sound very difficult. perhaps only when i visit the turban-wearing nation, then i'll facebook-pinch all my friends. hahahaha. okay, but jokes aside, if i really can form a party of elite, sensible young people, i would go into politics. because i believe singapore needs a new party with new ideas, to make singapore progress. nothing like the opposition, i wont advocate cheaper food nor ask to make hdb flat prices transparent. but i will advocate for a better education system that inspires culture and an interest to learn (10 years thru-train education to o level, 5 year diploma/degree course, all guys go into ns after their o levels and i want a levels out of the system), environmental friendliness (same laws but heightened enforcement), a replacement of foreign talent at the lower level jobs (if a local and foreigner are fighting for a job worth less than 2k/month, the local gets it by default) etc etc. these are the things i believe would truly benefit a country like singapore which is 'developing' and brinking on 'developed'.

we hate to MOVE IT, MOVE IT.
and yet another opening article adapted from the story of Twilight and the Thousand Other Fantasy Stories. in this latest article, humour (or rumour) has it that vampires drink orange juice. a petrified employee of orange julius was quoted saying "he just looked at me with those orange eyes, and then, i had no choice. i gave him a cup of orange!". orange julius CEO said that he was launching a personal vendetta against vampires as they were causing his profits to dip.
