your typical metalhead next-door neighbour with a tendency to unknowingly bring down his
estate whilst fingering his trusty handmaiden, an SA Series Ibanez. tamed by coke,
iced lemon tea and coffee, its always a good idea to drop him a cuppa(s). currently doing
odd jobs and enjoying his last 5 months of freedom before uni starts and he is forced to join
the terrible world of working-class-adulthood. he is also madly in love with this beautiful woman,
rachel chang ya hui, whom he met qutie awhile back but never had the fate to be together with
till oct 2010 (circa).

saw an artwork outside singapore arts musuem today. it has a concept that i feel so much about but never found the means to express it, and there it was today, made out of planks of wood. it is about how empty we all are despite our material assets. the interesting thing about artworks like these is that, nothing is there by accident. everything little detail represents something that the artist is trying to portray, whether you interpret it correctly or wrongly. stuff like these amaze me, how artists express themselves so well through different mediums.
i wanna be at artist. but again, my parents will say no. honestly, lucky are those whose parents let them have free reign over their lives and support them in whatever they want to do. it'll be difficult when they first encounter the outside world, but it's only thru this fight that they realise what the world really is. unlike the rest of us (the more traditional parents) who urge their kids to have an education, just because everyone else says its important, who dictate what kinda jobs their children should get into, just because those jobs can provide for their children's future. but what parents of these kind have missed out on, is life itself. life is more than just work and money. without passion, what is life? what is life if you sit at the same desk every morning, doing your routine chores? what is life if you have to force yourself to wake up so early in the morning just to earn your wages? exactly what is life then? taking things to a more macro level, you wouldn't drink fruit juice all the time just because people say it's good for health would you?
in my opinion, i only know one such man that i work for who can truly say he's living life. that's richard kang - he's a photographer, and despite his busy schedules, he loves his job. he's passionate about his job, and even when he doesn't have inspiration, his skills alone without creativity are good enough for most people who hire him for photoshoots. imagine in the 1970s, when photography was still a relatively obscure thing, he told his parents he loved photography. his parents got him a secondhand slr camera with 3 interchangeable lenses. at that time, imagine how much that would cost. and from there, he never left his home without a camera. he eventually made this passion for photography into his life's career. he's good at what he does, he loves what he does, and he gets paid for what he does. that's what i truly aim to be. but sadly, my parents don't have such a view.
pragmatically, such people hardly exist, and neither will we have many chances to meet them. they're the lucky few who came into existence when a new phenomenon was blooming, and they found they have the interest in that obscure phenomenon. the unwanted pioneers in a way, but who cares? they're well-off, they're enjoying life. i wish i had more open parents. because no matter whether you'd admit it or not, parents still have a major influence on our lives.
im ranting... chao. im falling sick. time to sleeeeeep.

we hate to MOVE IT, MOVE IT.
and yet another opening article adapted from the story of Twilight and the Thousand Other Fantasy Stories.
in this latest article, humour (or rumour) has it that vampires drink orange juice. a petrified employee of orange julius
was quoted saying "he just looked at me with those orange eyes, and then, i had no choice. i gave him a cup of orange!".
orange julius CEO said that he was launching a personal vendetta against vampires as they were causing his profits
to dip.

this linking passage links us to linkin park which is somewhere in my CD rack.
"what a nice park," leonardo da vinci had said himself. "its full of dog shit and... eww whats this? spagetthi filled
with pieces of dark flakes... ooo, wait, senor! its... chocolate. si si... si penne? no no... si fusilli." pavarotti reportedly
slapped him after that for mixing up his favourite pasta.
