your typical metalhead next-door neighbour with a tendency to unknowingly bring down his estate whilst fingering his trusty handmaiden, an SA Series Ibanez. tamed by coke, iced lemon tea and coffee, its always a good idea to drop him a cuppa(s). currently doing odd jobs and enjoying his last 5 months of freedom before uni starts and he is forced to join the terrible world of working-class-adulthood. he is also madly in love with this beautiful woman, rachel chang ya hui, whom he met qutie awhile back but never had the fate to be together with till oct 2010 (circa).

and so here i am once again. it's a tuesday. just a random thought but it feels very weird being under the pap after so many years of having pride in being part of the small estate that sticks it to the government. it's like, potong pasir lost a value. but that's not to say i really mind being under the pap that much, just saying that it's weird to be. i guess residents of potong pasir and aljunied will feel the same way. the pap feels like the opposition to potong pasir.

because honestly, i dont find anything wrong with potong pasir. it's not a slum as imagined by most people. and contrary to popular belief, it is not ulu (it's in the middle of kallang, toa payoh, bishan and aljunied, how is that ulu?!). chiam see tong has actually upkept this estate quite well and i daresay compared to low thia khiang, chiam would make a better mp. after all, he's the only minister who dared to sue pap members (and who won), the only minister with 5 o levels (and btw he's a lawyer with those qualifications), and the only true opposition force to be reckoned with in my opinion (albeit past his time). his proposed policies all make sense and i must say he has the people's intentions in mind whenever he speaks in parliament. the only sad thing to say is that he has been oppressed time and time again.

but as much as i respect and love chiam see tong, you have to admit he's past his time; and lina chiam? i doubt she can do the job as well as him. perhaps as his spokesman, but i doubt she has the mind of the great opposition leader - in a way, all of the opposition asides from the wp are fruits of his labour. he founded and was part of the SDP till an argument with chee soon juan made him decide to leave SDP; when he tried to merge the opposition into one in 2010 (a very smart move considering how fragmented the opposition is, and thus disabled in forming a credible opposition), he was rejected by his own council, and voted out by them subsequently.

so if you think about it, if you love chiam see tong, woudln't you simply hate the ingrates that the rest of the young singaporeans revere as the opposition? the only other established opposition minister who can say he wasn't at any point in time in cahoots with chiam, is low thia khiang. but that aside, he is definitely not as capable as chiam see tong, although he certainly is more aggressive in his approach (think brute strength vs intelligence).

and here i am rambling about politics again. i should stand for election in potong pasir (: 15k a month doesn't sound too bad for maintaining an estate, attending a few parliament meetings a month, meeting the residents weekly. if you calculate it, you'd probably have about 3 days off a week, more than the usual saturday and sunday most office zombies get.

we hate to MOVE IT, MOVE IT.
and yet another opening article adapted from the story of Twilight and the Thousand Other Fantasy Stories. in this latest article, humour (or rumour) has it that vampires drink orange juice. a petrified employee of orange julius was quoted saying "he just looked at me with those orange eyes, and then, i had no choice. i gave him a cup of orange!". orange julius CEO said that he was launching a personal vendetta against vampires as they were causing his profits to dip.

this linking passage links us to linkin park which is somewhere in my CD rack. "what a nice park," leonardo da vinci had said himself. "its full of dog shit and... eww whats this? spagetthi filled with pieces of dark flakes... ooo, wait, senor! its... chocolate. si si... si penne? no no... si fusilli." pavarotti reportedly slapped him after that for mixing up his favourite pasta.
